I’m a Senior Software Engineer with 13 years of experience. Most of what’s on this site is about that work, and a smaller part is about the books I read and review.
Engineering#
I build cloud-native, serverless systems in Python and AWS. My focus is increasingly on AI-powered applications and privacy engineering. I’ve led technical work and delivered scalable solutions for global companies, and I’m AWS certified.
I write about it in Writing, and the Engineering posts are a good place to start.
Technical review#
On the side, I work as a freelance technical reviewer for Brazilian publishers (Objetiva, Intrínseca, Portfolio-Penguin). I check the technical and conceptual accuracy of finance and economics books by authors such as Nassim Taleb, Daniel Kahneman, Aswath Damodaran and Scott Galloway.
See the books I’ve reviewed, or work with me if you’re a publisher looking for a reviewer.
Reading#
I read widely across software, finance, economics and behavioral science. My library lists the books I’ve read, and links to my notes where I wrote some.
Beyond work#
Outside work I enjoy photography, philosophy and ping-pong. I read and write in English, Portuguese and French. My writing in Portuguese and French, including what I’ve learned about learning languages, lives in Languages.
